Catholic wedding | Wedding photography | Waterloo, IA

It was a fabulous wedding day with Sara and Jordan which started out at Sensations Salon in Waterloo, IA. The wedding party took over the salon with lots of curls, chatter and bagels with cream cheese. The ceremony took place in the gorgeous sanctuary of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church with the party to follow at the Elks Club. In between, we enjoyed some time on Dolly’s Party bus and took advantage of the chance to capture a few group shots along the way. The guys had a very creative group shot idea… (see below). Lol. πŸ™‚

The love that Sara and Jordan share was very apparent throughout the day. From the emotion as they saw each other for the first time, to when they shared their memorized vows, to their time of dancing together and singing the lyrics as they embraced, you could tell their devotion was genuine.

At the reception, the band added a great energy to the dance floor with some classics and some modern hits. It was a great day to be a part of and I hope nothing but the best for the two of you and your exciting new life together as a married couple! Congrats!

Marissa had definitely put a lot of thought into all the details of her big day! πŸ™‚ She had some creative photo ideas that we worked to incorporate and they turned out to be a lot of fun! The wedding party was a laid-back group who was less concerned about those details and more concerned about having a good time! Ha! It was hard to choose from all the fun shots, but the jumping photo just makes me laugh and I think it’s a good depiction of the group as a whole. πŸ™‚ The details were great as well, with a cake/cupcake setup that rocked and a unique grooms cake. Lol. πŸ˜€ It’s apparent from these shots that there is a lot of love all around and it was a joy to be a part of. From school kid enemies to grown-up kids in love – blessings on your future together as the new Mr. & Mrs.!

These two little love birds were a lot of fun! Our time together was an afternoon adventure full of love, laughter and hiking. Ha! I don’t know if I’ve heard a guy tell me he was actually looking forward to and excited for their photo session. πŸ™‚ They both were an easy couple to capture as you can tell they’re definitely in love. Thanks for letting me be a part of your story and I can’t wait to capture your wedding next summer!
